Standard check in is from 4pm & check out is by 10am.
This property offers 'Early Check In' at the following rates:
- From 2pm - £40
- From 3pm - £20
'Late Check Out' is offered at the following rates:
- By 11am - £25
- By 12pm - £50
Please let us know if you wish to add either of these to your booking and payment is to be made at the time of ordering this with us.
Shepherds View offers a 'Maid Service' at £20 per day. Maid service includes cleaning the property, turning down the beds, as well as replacing any dirty towels and replenishing any other products. Upon booking please add to the notes which day you would like this service or message us to book.
Shepherds View is a pet friendly and accepts up to 2 dogs. There is no enclosed garden with this property so dogs are to be kept on leads whilst outside.
At no time are any dogs to be left inside the property unattended, the site is located on a working farm, please be mindful & careful around the livestock with dogs.
Additional pets may be permitted at extra cost, contact us for further information & charges.

Linen & Towels
All bed linen is provided.
1 hand towel & 1 bath sheet are provided per guest.
If using the hot tub we recommend also bringing your own towels too!
Cots & Highchairs
We are happy to provide a travel cot & a high chair for your stay. These are to be booked through us prior to your stay.
The travel cots do not have bedding included.
Hot Tub & Outside Area
Shepherds View has its own private hot tub, what better way to relax during your stay then making full use of this whilst admiring the beautiful view!
The hot tubs are emptied, cleaned & re filled at every change over - please be mindful that they may not be quite up to temperature when you first arrive.
There is outside seating & also a fire pit at the property, we offer Log Packages which can be found on our 'Hampers' page.
The kitchen comes complete with hobs, microwave, fridge with small freezer compartment, toaster & kettle.
We leave for all guests, a tea towel, sponge & cloth, tea coffee & sugar, fairy liquid, coffee for the machine, a glass bottle of locally sourced milk & a pack of the ever popular Welsh Tregroes Waffles.
Top Tip: Place one of the Tregroes Waffles over your cup of tea or coffee to leave a soft, gooey waffle which is even more delicious!
In the cupboards you will find: mugs, water glasses, wine glasses, bowls, dinner plates & tea plates as well as cutlery. For cooking, baking trays, utensils, mixing bowls, oven dishes.
In the bathroom you will find a shower, hand sink, flushing toilet & heated towel rail as well two rolls of toilet paper & hand soap.
Shepherds View offers the Hampers that we have listed on our 'Hampers' page.

This property has Wi-Fi with good signal but occasionally intermittent.
Shepherds View is heated with radiators.
There is parking space for 2 cars at the property, parking on the grassed area is not permitted at any time.
Charging of electric cars is not permitted at the property. There is a car charging station located in the town of Rhayader in Dark Lane Car Park, Rhayader, LD6 5DD
Meet Gemma, Ben and Jake..
Shepherds View is a property owned by Gemma, Ben & Jake. Along with Ben & Jakes father, Howell and his grand children, three generations work to keep the site and guest experience above satisfactory, it really is a family run business!
Ben, Gemma and their 3 children live just down the road from the 'The Views' site, so they are never far away if you have any questions or enquiries about your stay.
On site, there are Underground Houses, Shepherds Huts & Glamping Pod's as well as the HolidaysWales Agency Office, so don't be afraid to drop in and say 'Hi' & if you wish to book again we can offer a 10% discount on a return stay!
'The Views' is run along side a beef and sheep farm, so you’ll see lots of our four legged friends around the place.

We had the most incredible stay just the two of us and the dog it was so peaceful even though there are other people around. We had fun exploring the local area and different walks we could take whilst also enjoying a lovely pub lunch.
Overall we had an amazing time! We definitely rebook and have already recommended to two other people who have also booked.

The Shepherds Hut was amazing. A cosy space that has everything you could need for a short stay. The scenery was absolutely beautiful and it was lovely to sit and watch the sunset from the hot tub of an evening.

We loved our 3 nights in Shepherds View.
Everything was clean and tidy, we arrived and let ourselves in with no hassle whatsoever. The views from the hot tub are incredible and it’s so peaceful. We have already booked to return as we loved it so much.
And being dog friendly with an enclosed garden makes you feel like they’ve gone the extra mile to welcome you. It’s everything I expected and more😍
We can’t wait to return!!

Had an amazing week! Stunning views, very peaceful and relaxing. Made great use of the Hot Tub. Shepherds View was the perfect getaway. Had everything we needed & more, clean and well kept with beautifully kept private garden, patio area and drive. What beautiful views to wake up to!
