Excellent stay 4.7/5

So we have just stayed at badgers view for 2 night and we found it brilliant! The views were amazing the site was amazing. The bed were comfy it was brilliant. The only disappointing thing was that I n the morning do checkout which is 10am, the kids got up wanting one last go in the hot tub so at 8am, we went out to the hot tub, but it had been switched off. Considering we had 2 hours until check out and we had paid for it with the hot tub until 10am I found this very poor. I’m glad we didn’t pay the extra to have 2 hours more as this would have been a severe disappointment.

Great Stay Away 4/5

Fantastic location and loved the accommodation, however it was very wet and windy when we stayed and there was water dripping through the lights in the kitchen onto our backs when we were eating at the table. One of the bedrooms had water coming through the door making it very damp. It seems maybe it could have done with some TLC to make sure these issues are sorted.

Fabulous! 4.8/5

Gorgeous location and accommodation - highly recommend! Hot tub is a great added touch, views are impeccable and loads locally to keep you busy!

Kate Turner | 10 December 2023

Perfect family break 4.8/5

Fabulous location, stunning views to wake up to. Comfortable place to stay. It rained all weekend but the hot tub was perfect to relax in. Only negative point was the curtains do not fit the windows and my daughter struggled with the outside light coming in. We will return in the summer months

Jessica Kelly | 21 November 2023

Excellent Retreat 5/5

A gorgeous place to stay with outstanding views. Badgers View was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Every need was catered for and provided a fantastic retreat for us to relax in and explore the countryside. Thank you so much.

Graeme Watson | 14 November 2023

Will return again!! 4.5/5

Beautiful location and stunning views! The hobbit holes are well thought out, fun and cosy. They were so warm inside which I wasn't expecting and the hot tub is a brilliant touch. Plenty of space for everyone. Kitchen had all utensils, beds were comfortable and I absolutely loved the shower! Would recommend and would stay again.

Lisa Crisp | 04 November 2023

Badgers View 4.8/5

Cons: No storage/wardrobes Not enough seating for the 6 of us Stalls to high to eat comfortably at the counter Poor lighting outside (lights there but not working) and no response when sent a message about it. Pros Location was fab - beautiful views and only 5 mins into the town. Beautiful scenery/views Spotlessly clean Comfy beds The rainfall shower was a hit Hot Tub Parking right outside accommodation We would stay again but not with 6 of us in one accommodation.

Its all about the view! 4.5/5

We stayed in badgers lodge for 2 nights to finish off my 40th birthday celebrations and wow the view and the setting is beautiful.. was just the relax that we all needed.. sitting outside with a cuppa after a long day exploring with the view that u could watch for hours. Only criticism i would say is the sofa isnt very comfortable.. but honestly it wouldnt put me off going again x

Victoria Poole | 12 October 2023

Stunning views and cosy stay 4/5

On the whole the stay was great and the setting amazing! We enjoyed the hobbit house and the area very relaxing and peaceful. Great to wake up to birds and great scenery. Sorry there was a couple negatives.. mould around the doors and windows and there wasn't a way to turn on the heating. The floor was lopsided and it made the bathroom uncomfortable. The windows couldn't be fully blacked out and the outside lights were very bright so made it hard to sleep. On the whole was great and felt that 2 nights was more than enough to have the full experience. Thank you! Was a nice anniversary get away.

Magical break in a Hobbit Hole! 5/5

Definitely needs to be on everyone's bucket list!! We booked as a surprise for my Dad 80th birthday as he is a life long JRR Tolkien fan! We were not disappointed!! It moved him to tears! The Hobbit Hole itself was comfy, immersive and superbly equipped (the beds are SO comfortable and the shower is luxurious!) As it is on a working farm, the surroundings were fantastic. the views were breath taking and the hot tub and fire pit made for long relaxed evenings - perfect!!!!!!! We honestly could not have found anything better - we all now want to come back for Christmas!!!!! Plenty of room for 5 adults and a dog on Badgers view.

Beautiful property in stunning location 4.7/5

We loved our time at badgers view. The children enjoyed the freedom of running about outside and great we could bring our little dog with us. Bedding was clean and comfortable, and facilities were great and also clean and tidy. Hot tub checked daily and kept clean each day for us. Lovely location with the cows outside and just as peaceful as we wished for.

Leanne Rose | 20 August 2023

Spectacular 4.7/5

We loved our stay at badgers view. The location and views were spectacular. Holiday Wales provided us with ample information on how best to enjoy our stay, ie. What to do and where to eat in the surrounding area. The property itself was clean and although there was no fairy liquid and toilet roll on arrival, once we spoke to the onsite administrator this was rectified immediately. My only advisory to future guests would be to know that there is minimal storage available at this property. Ie. There are no cupboards and drawers. We lived out of our bags and fortunately we only stayed for a few nights or else this would have been overwhelming. We would definitely come back!!!

Emma French | 29 July 2023

Lovely Stay At Badgers View 4.8/5

Lovely stay at badgers view, clean, cute, beautiful views. If you’re looking for a bit of peace & tranquility this is a lovely place to stay. Lots to see nearby.

Rosanna Shephard | 04 July 2023

Beautiful! 4.3/5

Stunning location with beautiful views. Lovely accommodation and facilities for self catering. Massive hot tub! Only downside was the seating in the living room. It didn’t allow us to relax as a family as very clinical but didn’t dampen our stay too much.

Sara Evans | 03 July 2023

Fantastic Stay 4.7/5

We loved our stay at Badgers View. A beautiful & quirky place to stay. The Weather & Scenery were amazing.

Fabulous stay - felt like home but with stunning views 5/5

Gemma was wonderful as she was always available to answer little questions, promptly. The location is great as you have local essential shops down the road. Atmosphere was tranquil and perfect for a peaceful chilled weekend. Hot tub was a bonus, very clean and easy to use. Everything was great

Angel Manu | 24 May 2023

Great place but could be alot better 3/5

We stayed in badgers view over the weekend and just wanted to give you a bit of feedback. We had no hot water all weekend in either the shower or the kitchen. I did report this and 24hrs later someone came to look at it for us. Unfortunately it didn’t help… and my kids had to once again have Luke warm showers. Washing up was also difficult with cold water. We also had a problem with the kitchen sink on the first night with the drain making a horrible noise for around 3 hours after washing up. This meant we couldn’t wash up in the evenings. The tap was also dripping constantly ??. The door coming out of the bedroom was also very difficult to get in and out of, I think it needs re-aligning. The flooring in the lounge and kitchen was coming apart in places. One last thing was the rug in the lounge area was filthy, to the point I wouldn’t let my kids walk on it bear foot. I wouldn’t normally complain but we were paying nearly £300 a night to stay over and we were expecting it to be perfect… and it just wasn’t. Which is a really shame as we have been wanting to come to your hobbit huts ever since Stacy Solomon stayed a few years ago. The views were lovely, the beds were comfy and the cheese board and wine on arrival was a really nice touch. Just a shame the other bits let it down.

Craig Bailey | 12 April 2023

Very lovely stay! 4.7/5

We had a lovely stay again at Holiday wales! everything was fantastic ?? A few minor issues but only passing them on to hopefully be sorted for future. The plug next to the bed in the main bedroom didn't work, there was no chopping board which made it a little difficult with food prep and the temperature dial on the shower doesn't work either so the shower was very temperamental.

Alex Hill | 07 March 2023

Our stay 4.3/5

Amazing location amazing idea. The only thing I would say that the bench in the sitting area was a little uncomfortable and not in keeping with the surroundings. Just needed a bit more comfort to allow the family togetherness feeling.

Guest | 23 February 2023

Loved our stay in Badgers View 4.5/5

I was recommended this place by somebody that I know and it didn’t disappoint! It was everything I expected and more, so much so that I have already booked for next year and I am looking at booking again in a few months. It’s located perfectly for visiting Elan Valley and Rhayader, only 10 minutes away! The only thing that I would say is that in the property details it states there’s a coffee maker, so I enquired about what coffee pods were required before arrival (as we drink lots of coffee so like to bring our own) and I was told that it was broken and had to be removed from the property and that was that! No offer of replacing it especially as a customer had asked, so that was disappointing but only a small thing in relation to a great stay (we just took our own in the end)!! Sofa looked the part and suites the decor but wasn’t that comfy for lounging in the evenings, but couldn’t fault the property other than that and like I said we will be back and I have already recommended this place to others who have already booked. Loved it!
