Overview of Badgers View ..Badgers View is set amongst a its neighbouring ‘burrows’, a quirky subterranean house in the hill with stunning views across the farmland towards the Elan Valley. You will feel truly hidden away and as if you have stepping into your own fairy tale, relish looking through the spherical windows tucked in the undulating meadow or sit outside your magical grotto in your hot tub and enjoy the views.
This unique ‘underground home’ is the epitome of ‘hidden’ gem, cosy, compact and comfortable, peek out the round windows and pop the children into bed in their own ‘secret burrow’ then relax inside or out, the views are amazing from all angles.
Beautifully equipped everything you need for a relaxing break, two kingsize bedrooms and a childs bunk room with single and cot bed, our living area has a kitchen with oven and hob and fridge with ice compartment, breakfast bar and comfy seating, we have a spacious shower room with double basin and toilet.
Rhayader is the bustling nearby market town, with a great choice of eateries, the Cambrian Mountains and Wye Valley provide endless opportunities to explore.

Places to Visit
Visit the magnificent Victorian Dams of the Elan Valley, a network of 6 stunning dams and a nature reserve of 2000 acres! This opens up fabulous countryside for exploring. Enjoy the flat sweeping paths alongside Caban Coch Dam or head off for a more strenuous mountainous walk. The perfect location to spend the day exploring the great outdoors or just sit and marvel at the structures - especially if the water is flowing fast!
The Cambrian Mountains and the Wye Valley offer completely different experiences and landscapes. The area boasts a dark sky status, perfect for stargazing on a romantic evening. Why not take some time to visit the local kite feeding stations at Gigrin Farm in Rhayader? Watching the majestic Red Kites circle and feed in large numbers is truly breath-taking and it’s worth taking time to sit back and simply gaze at the national bird of Wales.
Rhayader town is a real hidden gem. A bustling market town where you will find lovely local independent shops, cafes and pubs including a traditional hardware store – a real treat and a blast from the past.
Rhayader is close to Builth Wells, home to the Royal Welsh Show and Show Ground, a perfect distance to be able to easily attend one of the many annual shows and still be able to retreat to the stunning Mid Wales countryside.
Take a trip to Gilfach Nature Reserve, where you will find over 400 acres of open moorland, flower rich grassland and oak woodland, offering a circular nature trail and a great place to enjoy a picnic at one of the spots and simply relax and let the world go by. Or how about a day trip a little further afield to Nant Yr Arian - a hot spot for mountain biking might we add!

This property offers 'Early Check In' at the following rates:
- From 2pm - £40
- From 3pm - £20
Please let us know if you wish to add either of these to your booking and payment is to be made at the time of ordering this with us.
Badgers View is a pet friendly and accepts up to 2 dogs. There is no enclosed garden with this property so dogs are to be kept on leads whilst outside.
At no time are any dogs to be left inside the property unattended, the site is located on a working farm, please be mindful & careful around the livestock with dogs.
Additional pets may be permitted at extra cost, contact us for further information & charges.
There are 3 bedrooms in Badgers View.
- 1 x King Size Bedroom with patio doors to outside area.

- 1 x Bunk Bed room (1 x Single Bed, 1 x Child Size Bed).
Linen & TowelsAll bed linen is provided.
1 hand towel & 1 bath sheet are provided per guest.
If using the hot tub we recommend also bringing your own towels too!
Cots & HighchairsWe are happy to provide a travel cot & a high chair for your stay. These are to be booked through us prior to your stay.
The travel cots do not have bedding included.
Hot Tub & Outside AreaBadgers View has its own private hot tub, what better way to relax during your stay then making full use of this whilst admiring the beautiful view!
The hot tubs are emptied, cleaned & re filled at every change over - please be mindful that they may not be quite up to temperature when you first arrive.
There is outside seating & also a fire pit at the property, we offer Log Packages which can be found on our 'Hampers' page.
KitchenThe kitchen comes complete with oven & hobs, microwave, fridge with small freezer compartment, toaster & kettle as well as the added luxury of a coffee machine.
We leave for all guests, a tea towel, sponge & cloth, tea coffee & sugar, fairy liquid, coffee for the machine, a glass bottle of locally sourced milk & a pack of the ever popular Welsh Tregroes Waffles.
Top Tip: Place one of the Tregroes Waffles over your cup of tea or coffee to leave a soft, gooey waffle which is even more delicious!
In the cupboards you will find: mugs, water glasses, wine glasses, bowls, dinner plates & tea plates as well as cutlery. For cooking, baking trays, utensils, mixing bowls, oven dishes.
BathroomIn the bathroom you will find a shower, hand sink, flushing toilet & heated towel rail as well as toilet paper & hand soap.

Badgers View is a property owned by HolidaysWales LTD. Made up of 3 generations. Howell and his 2 sons, Ben and Jake, Gemma, Ben’s partner, and 3 beautiful children, Archie, Monty and Ivy. Not forgetting Jake’s handsome little boy Jack. We really are a family business.
Ben, Gemma and their 3 children live just down the road from the HolidaysWales Village, so they are never far away if you have any questions or enquiries about your stay.
On site, there is 4 Hobbit Huts, 5 Shepherds Hut and 4 Glamping Pods - The HolidaysWales Village some may say!
We run HolidaysWales LTD along side our Beef and Sheep farm, so you’ll see lots of our 4 legged friends around the place.

Outstanding hospitality. We had a lovely stay with yourselves for a girly Christmasy weekend away. It was perfect in everyway!
