Welcome to The Upper Heron, a beautifully refurbished barn conversion apartment just a short distance from the charming market town of Builth Wells. Sleeping up to six guests, this inviting first-floor retreat is the perfect setting for families, couples, or friends seeking a relaxing getaway surrounded by the natural beauty of rural Wales.
Lovingly designed with comfort and character in mind, the apartment features two bedrooms – one double and one twin – along with a plush sofa bed in the lounge area. Accessed via an outdoor staircase, the open-plan living, kitchen and dining space blends rustic charm with modern comfort. Herringbone flooring, traditional oak beams and exposed stone walls create a warm, homely atmosphere that makes it easy to unwind after a day of exploring.
Step outside and you’ll find plenty to keep everyone entertained. Guests can enjoy an indoor heated swimming pool and sauna, fishing lake, tennis court, pitch and putt, children’s outdoor play area, and a large games room complete with pool table, table tennis and table football. There’s also a communal BBQ area and a great selection of DVDs for cosy evenings in. With idyllic countryside walks and public footpaths directly from the door, it’s a paradise for walkers and nature lovers alike.
The surrounding area offers even more to discover. Builth Wells is a friendly market town with independent shops, cafés, pubs and the well-known Royal Welsh Showground, which hosts events throughout the year.
