Upstairs, you will find a spacious open plan living & kitchen area which really maximises the space on offer. Gorgeous herringbone flooring in the kitchen teamed with traditional oak beams gracing the ceiling & rustic stone walls, this this cosy cottage is full of rustic charm creating a really homely space.
This quaint cottage really is the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of modern life and surrounded by rolling hills and green fields which can be viewed from every window, you can really take in the ambience of rural Wales. If you are looking for a hub of relaxation and not looking to travel too far from your destination there is ample to do on site. With an indoor heated swimming pool & sauna, tennis court, pitch & putt, children's outdoor play area & communal BBQ area there really is an abundance of things to for the whole family during your time at Kestrel Cottage. Better still? There are some idyllic walks & public footpaths directly from the door so ensure to pack those walking boots if you want to view some of Mid Wales' most idyllic views by foot.

All bed linen is provided as well as one hand towel & one bath sheet per guest.
Cots & Highchairs
We are happy to provide a travel cot & a high chair for your stay. These are to be booked through us prior to your stay.
The travel cots do not have bedding included.

The kitchen comes complete with electric oven, toaster, kettle, microwave & dishwasher.

Amy is the manager of Cwm Chwefru, the lady in charge.They are a small team at Cwm Chwefru Cottages and Amy has worked there for more than ten years!
Amy and the team like to make sure all their guests have a wonderful stay at Kestrel Cottage.

On site, there are a number of facilities free for you to use! Relax in the sauna after a dip in the indoor heated pool. Or why not play a game of tennis or a round of golf!
Long weekend in Kestrel Cottage

We booked the cottage to celebrate my 60th birthday.
The cottage was clean, comfortable beds and everything you needed from a torch and candles.
Check in was easy and Amy the manager was helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble.
Two bathrooms handy with 4 of us.
BBQ, Games room , swimming pool and Sauna all good and easy to use. The views were stunning and we woke every day to the sounds of sheep and birds it was so quite and remote / though 5 minutes off road.
We even played tennis and table tennis which got the competitive juices flowing.
The lake and stream were pretty to walk around and there was an abundance of information and walks to borrow and use.
We had a bbq overlooking the lake watching the sun go down which was a beautiful end to a perfect day.
We will be back as this is s complete switch off from busy lives as no WiFi and not much of a signal so you can really switch off completely from technology which was rather refreshing.
Great space for our family celebration 🎉
