Short break 5/5

Fantastic stay, lovely location in the hills with pure relaxation. Arrived to a lovely clean and modern lodge with everything needed for a few days stay. Hot tub is a lovely touch but could do with being under cover so we could continue to enjoy it during the heavy rain ??.. Overall we will definitely return to these lodges in the future

FLIES ! 2.8/5

We stayed at this beautiful cabin for a weekend, but unfortunately the flies were unbearable, you couldn’t escape them. The bedroom, bathroom and all over the kitchen work tops. The living room was extremely hot to sleep on the sofa bed, and hearing flies die above your head was awful, the bedroom was so bright in the mornings because there wasn’t a blind on the glass door and no window for fresh air. I explained the situation to the owners but I had no response. This is a shame as the location and cabin was beautiful.

Fawns rest 4/5

Overall the place was very easy to find and the hosts very friendly, the only issues I had was the place wasn’t very clean in certain areas, the bedroom was clean the bathroom as clean but then you come to the living room area I found a baby’s dummy under the sofa and the oven had pre used foil and left over chips inside, the cutlery was not washed properly, it does state on the introduction papers provided on arrival the previous visitors are suppose to wash everything they have used before leaving but this has not been checked and the only other problem was I didn’t know there was a fly infestation sometime through the night my partner and me was struggling to sleep because of flys buzzing everywhere they did provide us with a fly squatter but it was basically broken. Other than all iv listed as bad if a few things could change I would stay again.

A short summr 3.5/5

When we were there, it was very hot and couldn't open the door as a lot o flies would come in to the cabin. Would be and idea to have fly mesh fitted on the doors. Didn't like that there wasn't a bedroom window, wouldn't like to keep the door open all night. and the window in the kitchen was a fix glass and that one couldn't be open either.

Fawns Rest - June 2024 5/5

A fantastic place to stop and unwind. We stayed in one of the smaller pods and it was perfect for just the two of us. We made use of the hot tub too after walks around the Elan Valley and the Devils Bridge is a must too.

Brilliant location 5/5

Really enjoyed staying at Fawns rest. Such a lovely location, beautiful views and the lodge itself is amazing; really spacious and clean. 15 minutes drive from town so everything you need within 20 minutes!

A beautiful cabin 4.8/5

A lovely cabin, well maintained by very friendly staff. Very rural area, surrounded by nature. It’s really the perfect location for any weather. We scored a 4 for cleanliness due to a shirt left behind the bedside table, dust on the headboard and thick dust in the fan filter in the bedroom. Everything else however was very clean 🙂 Would definitely visit again with my partner.

My Stay at fawns rest 4.7/5

Great place to stay. The accommodation was very nice, spacious and comfortable. The views were lovely nice calm and relaxed. The hot tub is a big plus as you can relax and get a well earned rest without any interruptions. It was a short drive to the nearest village but it caters for your needs as in good pub, food and cafes. Along with some little shops.

? 3.3/5

Little things really that you could improve for future guests. I Was disappointed that there was no curtain on the door in the bedroom to make the room dark at night. I couldn’t open the bathroom window as it went really hot inside the hut at night, didn’t like to have the door open all night.

Anniversary stay 4.8/5

We stayed here over the Easter weekend which was also our first wedding anniversary. We wanted somewhere quiet to just relax for a few days and this was perfect! Area is so quiet, cabin clean and fully equipped and to top it off the hot tub was amazing! Would 100% come and stay again.
