Caban Dulas is a peaceful countryside retreat, perfect for families or groups of friends looking to relax, recharge and reconnect with nature. Nestled in a beautiful part of Mid Wales, this welcoming cabin combines stylish comfort with a fantastic outdoor space and everything you need for a memorable stay.
Step into the spacious, well-equipped kitchen—ideal for preparing a hearty breakfast before a day of adventures or cooking up a delicious evening meal. The open-plan layout flows into the cosy living and dining area, where you can gather around for a movie night or enjoy a laid-back evening meal. Throw open the French doors to let in the summer breeze, or step outside into the sunshine and make the most of the stunning outdoor setting.
The private paved patio area features ample outdoor seating beneath a large parasol—perfect for alfresco dining. Let the kids play on the expansive grassy area while you unwind in your very own hot tub, drink in hand, soaking up the views and tranquillity.
When it’s time to turn in, the king-size master bedroom promises a restful night’s sleep and includes its own en suite wet room. A second ground-floor bedroom also features a king-size bed that can be split into two singles, offering flexibility to suit your group. Additional guests can be accommodated on the double sofa bed in the living area. There's also a spacious family bathroom with a bath and shower over, ensuring convenience for all.
Even during the colder months, Caban Dulas stays cosy and inviting thanks to underfloor heating throughout.
Adding a special touch to your countryside escape, our friendly on-site alpacas are sure to delight both children and adults. These gentle animals are always a hit and help make your holiday all the more memorable.
The location is ideal for both relaxation and adventure. Rhayader, a charming market town, is just a short drive away, offering cosy pubs, cafés, and independent shops to explore. The breathtaking Elan Valley and Gilfach Nature Reserve are close by—perfect for walking, wildlife spotting and soaking in the fresh Welsh air. And for families, the on-site children’s play area is just a short stroll from your cabin.
Please be advised that there is a 10pm outdoor noise curfew. This is a family-friendly property, and all guests are expected to respect the quiet hours to ensure the comfort of everyone on site.

Check In / Check Out
Standard check in is from 4pm & check out is by 10am.
This property offers 'Early Check In' at the following rates:- From 2pm - £40
- From 3pm - £20
'Late Check Out' is offered at the following rates:
- By 11am - £25
- By 12pm - £50
Please let us know if you wish to add either of these to your booking and payment is to be made at the time of ordering this with us.
Pets
Up to 2 pets are welcome at Caban Dulas, there is a charge of £10 per pet per night
Sleeping Arrangements
1 x king size with en-suite wet room with shower, basin & WC.
1 x zip & link (can be 1 x king size or 2 x single beds).
1 x double sofa bed in lounge (£30 fee for use of this).When booking, please specify how you would like the zip/link bed & add the sofa bed if this is needed.
Linen & Towels
All bed linen is provided.
One hand towel & one bath sheet are provided per guest.
If using the hot tub we recommend also bringing your own towels too!
Cots & Highchairs
We are happy to provide a travel cot & a high chair for your stay. These are to be booked through us prior to your stay.
The travel cots do not have bedding included.

Hot Tub & Outside Area
Caban Dulas has its own private hot tub, what better way to relax during your stay then making full use of this whilst admiring the beautiful view!
The hot tubs are emptied, cleaned & re filled at every change over - please be mindful that they may not be quite up to temperature when you first arrive.
Kitchen
The kitchen comes complete with electric oven, hobs, microwave, fridge with small freezer compartment, toaster & kettle as well as a washing machine & dishwasher.
We leave for all guests, a tea towel, sponge & cloth, tea coffee & sugar & fairy liquid.
In the cupboards you will find: mugs, water glasses, wine glasses, bowls, dinner plates & tea plates as well as cutlery. For cooking, baking trays, utensils, mixing bowls, oven dishes.
Bathroom
In the bathroom you will find a bath with shower over, hand sink, flushing toilet & heated towel rail as well as toilet paper & hand soap.

Stephen and Dawn Rowlands are the owners of Cae Llwyn Breaks, a family friendly site based on a farm in the heart of the countryside just outside Rhayader.
Cae Llwyn Breaks offers a unique opportunity for everyone to enjoy and experience the peace and beauty of Mid Wales.
The site comprises of two log cabins which were Stephen and Dawn's first venture and they soon got the staycation buzz and expanded to host an additional six lodges and four luxury glamping tents!
A short drive directly off the A44 means the site is lucky enough to be fantastically located for all types of getaways! Bring your walking boots, bikes or books and cycle or walk the many Mid Wales trails for the adventurers amongst us! Or simply spend your stay relaxing in your own private terrace equipped with your own hot tub and fire pit. Not forgetting our newly installed children's play area too for keeping your little ones entertained. -
