Hot Tub

Amazing to “look” at 3.3/5

When we first arrived we were wowed, the bath outside, the hot tub, it looked amazing. Sadly after being there for a few hours the reality of it hit, there was a terrible smell of sheep poo constant, making you not really want to go outside. The outside bath was completely damaged therefore unable to be used. - which is very disappointing given this was probably one of the selling points. The indoor shower would go from freezing cold to scalding hot without any warning. My son really burnt himself. There were flies everywhere, the room itself was covered in sticky fly catchers. - all of this is very disappointing given the high price tag of a stay. The bed however was extremely comfy. The kitchen had everything you needed, overall could be amazing if they fixed the issues above.

Great stay at the Tin Shed 5/5

Perfect location to get away from the hustle and bustle of normal life and a great location to relax in the bathtub and do a bit of stargazing

William Jones | 19 June 2025

Lovely Property but some disappointments. 3.8/5

A great property - well thought out and nicely decorated. The owners have thought about creating a ‘home from home’. Lovely to have a secure garden for the dogs and the use of a hot tub. Fabulous location for the Elan Valley (which we highly recommend). Unfortunately, a few things let it down (it wasn’t cheap to stay but you don’t mind paying when the quality is there); On arrival, there was dog mess on the decking and cigarette ends next to the hot tub. Even as dog owners, this is unacceptable. We fully appreciate the owners are renovating the old building next to the lodge, however, the huge pile of rubbish really spoilt the outlook and view from the garden/ hot tub. (I saw the previous guests had also commented about this in the Guest Book in the lodge). Finally, the soap dispenser was empty other than being filled with water in the bathroom. (This is minor but when the property is advertised as having Neals Yards toiletries (there wasn’t) we didn’t take our own soap). These few things let the overall stay down, which is disappointing when the quality of the inside was high.

Lovely! 4.7/5

Lovely weekend away with my partner, we were able to relax and wind down with a view. The tin shed was beautiful!!! Would definitely book again. The only thing I would say is because it’s pet friendly I did find dog hairs on my clothes and it had a faint smell of dog but it didn’t bother us. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your property

Keeran Tawasin | 14 January 2025

We will definitely be back! Most amazing place! 5/5

The site is beautiful, we loved seeing the goats trotting past of a morning and driving past the sheep. Having the fresh eggs is a great touch too, we went through 6 whilst we were there & then took 6 home they were that good! It’s very clear they take a lot of pride and care in the animals and the site! Our lodge was spotless too, it was so cosy and kitted out with everything we needed, the welcome basket was perfect after travelling for a few hours - literally a home from home. The hot tub was amazing, it felt so private and we could properly relax. We can’t wait to come back. From us booking to us leaving, communication was great. The amount of information we had beforehand and on site was great too, we’d have been lost without it as we live a few hours away and had never been there before! We can’t wait to come back, thank you so much x

Short Break 4.8/5

Great accommodation. Great location though not many “walk to” places near by. (unless you are a hiker; I’m not) But I had a fab, relaxing time. Accommodation of a very high standard. Totally recommend Tin Shed.

Absolutely Lovely! 4.8/5

We really enjoyed our stay at the tin shed. The presentation of the property was just lovely, it was very clean, and exactly what we were looking for. We loved the fully furnished kitchen, the ability to use the dishwasher and oven really made our stay a lot more pleasurable. The hot tub was the main attraction, very well maintained and clean as it was seen to everyday. We just wish we could of used it more as we were dodging the rain/snow/hail at points! The view of the Welsh hills during the day and the stars of a night time really brings it all together. Our dog absolutely loved her stay there too - especially the doggy biscuits that were left for her! The only thing we found, which we can't even call a bad point was the bed. My partner hurt their back and so found lying on the bed a bit uncomfortable but the hot tub helped soak the pain away! Overall, would definitely recommend anyone to stay at the tin shed if they want a stay to relax and get peace and quiet.

Jordan Blunn | 31 March 2024

A hidden treasure! 5/5

Tucked away off the road you wouldn't know it's there if you didn't know. We had a perfect stay at The Tin Shed, it has everything you need from a bottle of milk to start you off, to dog biscuits and even down to a hair dryer! The hot tub was ready to use when we arrived and checked the following morning. Everything was clean & tidy, inside and out. We had a really relaxing stay and would definitely come back again. Elan Valley is a must visit destination and it's only down the road!

Victoria Hill | 20 March 2024

Highly recommend! 4.7/5

Amazing stay, cosy and clean accommodation. Would recommend for a quiet, laidback break away. Staff were available when needed and also sent back some items that we had forgotten on our departure, with no hesitation and free of charge, which was really appreciated!

Guest | 27 January 2024

Lovely stay 4.7/5

The tin shed is lovely and secluded for a romantic and private stay. Hot tub/decking area is fabulous and facilities inside were also great. Would highly recommend!

Break away 4.8/5

We had a nice nights stay at The Tin Shed, the place was clean and tidy. Nice little welcome hamper on arrival and some doggie biscuits which was a nice touch. The description did advise that there would be two waffle robes available but none were there for us, which was slightly disappointing as I purposely didn’t pack my own as thought we could use these. The place is dog friendly and was fenced all around but we have two little French bulldogs who could easily get through the gap into the next field which had me on edge every time I let them out, so they would have to go out with leads on which wasn’t what I wanted. If there was chicken wire on the fence then this would have solved that problem. My partner enjoyed a very hot outside bath which he said was amazing and we both loved the hot tub, even in the rain Overall a very pleasant stay in a very nice cabin

Guest | 01 January 2024

Highly recommend 4.8/5

We stayed at the Tin Shed for two nights. It’s beautifully decorated and clean. Very good location - 10 minute drive to Elan Valley Reservoir. The facilities were great and we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Highly recommend and will definitely be booking again.

Kaylie Lane | 26 September 2023

Was a really lovely place to stay. 4.7/5

The Tin Shed was an amazing little place to stay. However, cleanliness wasn’t the best as we noticed dog hair under the bed and sofa with a few dead flies around. The bean bag smelt of dog and also had dog hair on. The fan that is provided was also covered in dust in which I had to wipe this down and the remote. The bed was very comfy but the bedding on my side of the bed smelt a little like damp and the quilt cover was very bobbly which made me think that the bedding was reused and washed quite a lot so didn’t feel as nice to touch or sleep in. I was also disappointed to find there was no tea bags or salt but yet there was pepper and coffee. Luckily, I’d brought my own refreshments but I would’ve been very sad if I couldn’t have a cup of tea. The outside bath tub was also very annoying as we really wanted to use this but then you don’t get any hot water and even when we tried to let it run or look for something to switch on the hot water, it still didn’t work. So was quite a shame as this was the main thing that me and my partner wanted to use as we don’t have a bath at home. Everything else was perfect and would deffo recommend this place to a family member or friends. Was just a shame a few little bits were not up to the standards for what you pay for. Thank you for our stay and I hope this helps with any future bookings.

Guest | 31 August 2023

Beautiful and secluded 4.7/5

Furnished to a high standard, everything you can think of, it has. Very well equipped to hide away there and not have to leave. Only small problem is the flies. But they do all they can to combat that with fly strips. Would definitely go and hide away there again

Michelle Cosgrove | 18 June 2023

An absolutely stunning, relaxing weekend away! 5/5

We had such a lovely time away in the Tin Shed. We were blown away with the standard of the lodge. It was spotlessly clean and so nicely decorated. All of the little touches like the robes, pancake maker and coffee maker were great. The hot tub was awesome and the little egg chair and different patio sets were a lovely touch! Overall extremely happy with our stay and would recommend it to anyone! Thank you!

Lucy Diamond | 10 June 2023
