Great holidays 5/5

Great place to spend time with ur love ones Very clean and tidy Such a nice view from outside Lovely staf

Aida Mazrreku | 23 February 2024

Beautiful lodge with great facilities 4.7/5

We had a lovely weekend away at Buck Barn to celebrate my dad's 70th Birthday. We opted for the early check in and the Birthday Hamper and the lodge was decorated with banners, a balloon and cupcakes apon arrival. The lounge area was very comfortable and hot tub was a real bonus. Kitchen fully equipped and lovely crockery. Only thing I would say, is that the two beds in the maisonette area were a little uncomfortable. On the listing it said it slept 4 adults. But two of us adults slept upstairs, and I don't think it wasn't completely suitable for an adult. Just a thin matress on the floor with not a lot of head room. Also the temperature was very hot inside the lodge, we turned the heating off, but it still was quite warm inside. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend, but maybe not for 4 adults.

Friends walking weekend 5/5

Beautiful setting in a great location for Elan Valley. We sat in a first rate hot tub with views of the mountains, watching Red kites flying overhead and once it got dark listened to the owls. Plenty of space for the 3 of us in the very clean, modern well equipt Buck Barn. Essentials were supplied, tea, coffee, milk, toilet roll, dishwasher tablets etc there were a few luxuries as well. Will definitely be staying again x

Fantastic location and accommodation 4.8/5

Location was amazing! Beautiful scenery to look at while sitting in the hot tub and chair. The accommodation was finished to a really high standard, our family loved it, can’t wait to go back.

My dad wanted to stay for a month! 5/5

This was a last minute booking after being let down by a hotel for my mums birthday. The owners left some lovely treats (lemonade, Welsh cakes, Marshmallows, sweets, Milk and log burner for the fire pit) considering it was just for the night, property was lovely light and comfortable for a family of 6. Thank you again, we are coming back next year for 4 night break.

Amazing Holiday 5/5

Thank you for a lovely holiday! This place is ideal for families or couples looking for a quiet site. Hot tub was fantastic and the kids loved the 2nd floor bedroom looking out over the fields. The site it’s self was lovely with great scenery and farm animals roaming the lands.

Pete Rhodes | 31 May 2023

Beautiful barn, but wouldn’t stay again unfortunately:( 3.8/5

The barn itself was immaculate, lovely furnishings and decor, beautiful. The surroundings are really nice too! Plenty of scenic walks nearby too. Unfortunately during our stay there was a problem with the heating/thermostat, meaning it was fixed at 29.5C. It kept displaying a fault message when we tried to lower the temp multiple times, we did call the owners who assured us the temp would lower. But this wasn’t the case, which lead to a sleepless night as it was uncomfortably hot. The hot tub was fixed at 40C, the temp wouldn’t go down despite adding cold water/ice and leaving the cover off. By the evening the hot tub temp got to about 39C, it was usable but it was boiling and uncomfortable. Such a shame as it’s a beautiful place with lovely surroundings.
