Outside the lodge you’re greeted by a private outdoor oasis. At ground level, unwind in the private hot tub, nestled beside the lodge with mood lighting and lush greenery offering a secluded feel — ideal for soaking under the stars.
Above, a stunning rooftop terrace steals the show. With expansive countryside views, contemporary decking, and chic rattan-style furniture, this elevated outdoor space is perfect for morning coffees, lazy afternoons in the sun, or sunset drinks with panoramic scenery. Tall planters provide both privacy and greenery, while glass balustrades ensure uninterrupted views of the Mid Wales hills.
Step inside Red Kite View and experience a beautifully designed open-plan living space that combines modern comfort with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The spacious lounge features plush leather seating, a warming log burning stove, and a large flat-screen TV — perfect for cosy evenings in.
Flowing seamlessly from the lounge is a fully equipped modern kitchen, complete with sleek integrated appliances, ample worktops, and plenty of storage — ideal for both quick breakfasts and evening meals. The adjacent dining area comfortably seats four, with elegant high-back chairs and views out to the private deck through floor-to-ceiling windows.
With thoughtful touches throughout and a stylish, cohesive design, this open-plan layout is ideal for relaxing, dining, and socialising in total comfort.
The lodge boasts two beautifully styled bedrooms. The master bedroom features a luxurious king-size bed, a wall-mounted TV, unique pendant lighting, and a striking feature wall. A private en suite bathroom with walk-in rain shower, floating vanity, underfloor heating and modern finishes adds a touch of spa-like comfort. The second bedroom is equally refined, with a neutral palette, designer soft furnishings, and large windows with full-length curtains, creating a restful and stylish space for additional guests.
There is also a main bathroom, thoughtfully designed with high-quality fittings and contemporary style, which also comes complete with underfloor heating — ideal for guests staying in the second bedroom.

All bed linen is provided.
One hand towel & one bath sheet are provided per guest.
If using the hot tub we recommend also bringing your own towels too!
Cots & Highchairs
We are happy to provide a travel cot & a high chair for your stay. These are to be booked through us prior to your stay.
The travel cots do not have bedding included.
Hot Tub & Outside Area
Red Kite View has its own private hot tub, what better way to relax during your stay then making full use of this whilst admiring the beautiful view!
The hot tubs are emptied, cleaned & re filled at every change over - please be mindful that they may not be quite up to temperature when you first arrive.
There is also outdoor seating on the roof top terrace.
Living Area
Includes luxurious electric leather reclining sofas, a Stressless chair with matching footstool, a large smart TV, and a cozy wood-burning stove.
Kitchen
The kitchen comes complete with oven, hobs, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster & kettle aswell as a washer/dryer & washing machine.
We leave for all guests, a tea towel, sponge & cloth, tea coffee & sugar & fairy liquid.
In the cupboards you will find: mugs, water glasses, wine glasses, bowls, dinner plates & tea plates as well as cutlery. For cooking, baking trays, utensils, mixing bowls, oven dishes.
Bathroom
In the bathroom you will find a shower free standing bath, hand sink, flushing toilet as well as toilet paper & hand soap. The master bedroom has an ensute with shower, hand sink and flushing toilet. Both complete with underfloor heating.
Wi-Fi
This property has Wi-Fi with good signal but occasionally intermittent.
Heating
Red Kite View is heated with radiators and also has a wood burning stove.
Parking
There is parking space for 2 cars at the property.
Stephen and Dawn Rowlands are the owners of Cae Llwyn Breaks, a family friendly site based on a farm in the heart of the countryside just outside Rhayader.
Cae Llwyn Breaks offers a unique opportunity for everyone to enjoy and experience the peace and beauty of Mid Wales.
The site comprises of two log cabins which were Stephen and Dawn's first venture and they soon got the staycation buzz and expanded to host an additional eight lodges and four luxury glamping tents!
A short drive directly off the A44 means the site is lucky enough to be fantastically located for all types of getaways! Bring your walking boots, bikes or books and cycle or walk the many Mid Wales trails for the adventurers amongst us! Or simply spend your stay relaxing in your own private terrace equipped with your own hot tub and fire pit. Not forgetting our newly installed children's play area too for keeping your little ones entertained.

Watch hundreds of Red Kites feeding daily, a truly breath taking spectacle. The Centre is located in beautiful countryside with a Coffee Shop, Gift Shop & Picnic Site.
Lion Royal Trekking Centre, Rhayader (5 miles)
Situated in the Elan Valley taking different routes through the hills, valleys, rivers and woodlands each day. Exploring parts of the area that would be difficult to get to on foot, giving you the opportunity to experience the views, wildlife and tranquillity that the Elan Valley has to offer on horseback. Gifach Nature Reserve, Rhayader (4 miles)
Take a trip to Gilfach Nature Reserve, where you will find over 400 acres of open moorland, flower rich grassland and oak woodland, offering a circular nature trail and a great place to enjoy a picnic at one of the spots and simply relax and let the world go by?.
