    Meet the Jones Family ..

James and Lin Jones live just down the road from Maesgwyn, Beacon View Barns, and Beacon View Pods with their three children—Ceri, Rhys, and Sian. You might spot them around the farm or tending to the properties as part of their daily routine.

Maesgwyn is also home to Llewelyn, James' father, who remains an active member of the farming team and an important part of daily life on the land.

The Jones family began their holiday let journey in 2015, opening up the farmhouse to guests. Following its success, they expanded in 2017 by converting traditional barns and adding two glamping pods, creating the welcoming rural retreats you see today.

The family farms over 400 acres, focusing mainly on beef and sheep. The busiest season is lambing time in March and April—guests visiting during this period might be lucky enough to witness newborn lambs in the surrounding fields.

Summer brings a different kind of excitement, with plenty of tractor activity across the farm during harvest season—perfect for a bit of tractor spotting!

Rural amazing views 5/5

We stayed during February half term at Beacon view barn, our daughter and two teenage granddaughters stayed next door at the same time. The views are amazing and fantastic, especially of hills and sheep. There are many narrow and sometimes steep country lanes all around the location. The lanes are quieter being the location is rural. Beacon View Barn has everything facility wise that you would expect, including an honesty box is case you have forgotten anything (toiletries wise). We took all our food (everything is quite a distance away, including shops) for the mid week that we were there and thankfully didn’t need to buy anything more for our stay, apart from petrol for the car. It was too cold for me to use the hot tub, but our daughter and granddaughters did and sitting looking at the clear sky and stars was enjoyed by them all. An excellent location for visiting beauty spots that are so exceptionally different and attractive, especially if you love walking. I would recommend doing your research on the area beforehand, so you know what to take food wise and clothing wise. We were ready for all weather because of going in February.

Amazing, relaxing , beautiful holiday 5/5

This holiday was an absolute find!! The barn (as soon as we walked in I knew I wanted to come again) was beautiful, super comfy beds, everything we needed.. very clean. Our 5 year old daughter loved the hot tub and made a bunny friend that came into the garden everyday which was very cute. We went on the circular walk and were extremely lucky with the weather being sunny all week. The view of the farm from the Barn and the hot tub were stunning . We'd definitely come back again and already recommending to our friends and family.
