The Jones family began their holiday let journey in 2015, opening up the farmhouse to guests. Following its success, they expanded in 2017 by converting traditional barns and adding two glamping pods, creating the welcoming rural retreats you see today.

The family farms over 400 acres, focusing mainly on beef and sheep. The busiest season is lambing time in March and April—guests visiting during this period might be lucky enough to witness newborn lambs in the surrounding fields.

Fantastic location, work needed. 3.7/5

The Heather Beacon View Pod in Wales enjoys a serene, picturesque setting tucked into the hills, offering a modern and well-equipped retreat for a peaceful escape. Its remote location means you’ll need to stock up on supplies, as the nearest shops are a 20-30 minute drive away. The pod itself appears clean and thoughtfully designed at first glance. However, closer inspection revealed significant cleanliness issues, including weeks or months of food crumbs and odd items lodged down the side of the sofa, a burnt-out, wet saucepan, and a kettle with a scorched interior. For the price, newer equipment and greater attention to cleaning details are expected. Despite these drawbacks, the stay was enjoyable, relaxing, and worthwhile. One suggestion for improvement would be increasing privacy by spacing the pods farther apart or adding a fence or divider, as the close proximity to neighbors detracts from the remote, private getaway experience.
