Cosy birthday getaway! 5/5

We recently stayed at the valley view hobbit home for a joint birthday weekend. The home was spotless, accommodating and the perfect place for peace and quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return in the future!

Absolutely gorgeous stay! 4.8/5

Our stay at Valley View was amazing. Only slight downfall was how uncomfortable the bed was. But everything else made up for it. Facilities were amazing. Can not wait to book again!

Valley View Review 4.5/5

The stay was lovely and very cosy, the handbook was really informative. The only small change is that the hut needs full curtains

Brilliant views, perfect for a relaxing weekend 4.8/5

A quirky accommodation with more than adequate outdoor space. The hobbit house was clean, well equipped and comfortable. The outdoor seating was perfectly positioned to catch the sun any time of the day and the hot tub was a perfect place to relax and take in the view. A brilliant weekend away!

What a lovely place to stay 5/5

Set in the valleys with views to die for, this little hobbit house is beautiful. From the email directions (which were spot on), recommendations for local places to visit and places to eat to themed break email check up, the hosts made us feel very welcome. Hot tub was easy to use, very clean. Nice to have a glass of Asti while watching the sun go down. We went on the lightweight train which our 2 year old loved and had a meal at the Goat. Very nice food. I would definitely come back and visit again. Just what we needed a nice quiet relaxing break with just sheep as our closest neighbours.

Gorgeous location and stay. 5/5

My partner and I stayed here 2nd-4th of Feb and loved it. It was my first time in Wales and I’m so happy I chose the Valley View as my first introduction to the stunning country. The little home was gorgeous with everything you could possibly need for your stay and our wooly neighbours really solidified that feeling of being in the country side. I think my only complaint would be that the shower door didn’t open very wide so it was a bit of a squeeze to get it (though I will add that I am a plus size lady so a straight sized person won’t have these issues!!) The hosts were very helpful too - we realised after our first night that the heating/hot water wasn’t working, at first we thought it was just user error but Sylvia was very easy to contact and immediately got it sorted for us which was great - when we came back after visiting Powis Castle and watching the rugby in a local pub, it was nice and toasty warm in there. Bed was very comfortable and the skylight was a great way to wake up in the morning.

Tranquility at its very best! 5/5

What a stunning place, with fantastic views. It has the Wow factor!!!! Modern, clean and quirky! Comfortable with everything you need to just relax and enjoy the surroundings. It's so quiet and already we wish we were back there. To sit on the sofa and see for miles and miles is special. We didn't venture out in the car, there was no need to. The hot tub was amazing to relax in and watch the world in front of you. Thank you to Richard and Sylvia for the welcome bottle of fizz and Welsh cakes! The sunrise on our 1st morning was gorgeous, the snow on our 2nd morning was picturesque. What a gem of a place we were so glad we found to spend our wedding anniversary in. Would recommend the hobbit home to everyone. Such an amazing place!

Lovely weekend away in a remote place 4.5/5

Had a wonderful, relaxing weekend with my partner. The views were incredible. The places we went to eat were amazing (The Bill & Heifer). The hot tub was a little confusing to figure out, some instructions might’ve benefited us since neither of us had really been in one before. But after a little Google search we figured it out. Overall a really nice weekend away.

Great short stay 4.8/5

The Hobbit House was lovely, amazing views and so quiet! We had our 2 children with us and we all throughly enjoyed our stay! The hot tub was a particular high light! It is quite far out of the town so great for a few lazy days! We will definitely return ??

Surprise birthday trip 5/5

Lovely surprise trip to valley view, the views are out of this world and the hobbit is a place I will return. The hobbit hole was cosy and comfy ,the place had amazing under floor heating and the home was lovely and warm throughout our stay. The hot tub and views all wrapped into one was 5 star . The village was lovely ,very nice pubs especially the goat where we enjoyed home cooked food. The hobbit hole was glamping taken to the next level. I will return to this stunning little hobby ,perfect and cosy for two people to spend quality time together .

Lovely hosts and stunning views 5/5

When booking my weekend in valley view, I was emailing Sylvia who made our stay lovely. I was booking for my boyfriends birthday and balloons were organised which looked perfect when we arrived. Would 100% recommend for families or friends for a weekend break

Very nice break 5/5

Perfect view with a full privacy place for short breaks. Have been there 2 times now and looking forward my 3rd visit. Highly recommended place for quick escapes from cities.

A wonderful few days! 4.8/5

We had a wonderful two night stay at Valley View. The views are out of this world and it is so relaxing, peaceful and private. Our only neighbours the sheep and lambs! Plenty of space outside for the children to play safely. The hot tub was really big and enjoyed by us all. It is very rural so you’re best being organised with what you want to take with you. We visited nearby Powis Castle which was great and also Lake Vyrnwy - absolutely breathtaking. The hobbit house itself is really well appointed and so comfortable. If you’ve booked to stay here you’re in for a treat! Enjoy!

Joanne Davies | 01 June 2023

A real gem of a place to unwind! 5/5

A serene location, great for those who what to unwind stay put or go and see the local sites. We did a bit of both. The underground house didn't disappoint! Cosy but still spacious beautiful views and secluded feel to the place inside and out. Along wit their attention to detail and little welcome packs. Thankyou and look forward to returning hopefully with friends and rent both properties.

Our stay in Valley View 5/5

We arrived early at the property due to a trip up Snowden being cancelled. We contacted Sylvia to ask if we could get into the Hobbit House early. She couldn't have been more accomodating. The property itself is very quaint and well finished. It has everything you need and the views are to die for. We have no reservations about recommending a stay here.
