Wonderful Break By Guest Review

I had a wonderful break for new years, the place is very cosy and very private (the other hut isn’t as private as the prancing pony). My dog loved saying hello to the horses and pony’s in the field next door! Would recommend for a short break.

The perfect escape By Guest Review

We loved our stay at the prancing pony, it was a fun and quirky way to get away from it all. It was warm and comfortable, very clean and had most amenities that we needed. It doesn’t have a microwave but you can live without that. The hot tub was lovely and the river added an extra layer to listen and relax to. The local town is close enough and had anything we needed. Dafydd was a very attentive host, making sure we were OK and had everything we needed. It really was a perfect escape.

Lovely stay at the Prancing Pony By Guest Review

Reviewed on 20/10/2023

I booked my stay as a birthday present for my partner who is a big lord of the rings fan and thought he would love the idea of staying in a little hobbit hole – which of course he did. He kept pointing out all the little details which made it so perfect from the name of the lodge to the artwork – so many small touches that made such a big difference. The hot tub was a really nice addition as well – we stayed end of September and it rained most of the time we were there but the hot tub was still nice and warm and relaxing! The lodge itself was small but still felt spacious inside. It was clear a lot of effort had gone into making everything fit into an awkward shaped building so it never felt cramped at all.
On arrival we accidentally went up the wrong road but were met by Owain who was very polite and chatty and directed us the correct way! Owain and Dafydd also provided a great welcome book with suggestions of all the things to do and see whilst we were there which was really helpful.

Would recommend the local fish and chip shop for takeaway, we visited the local waterfalls which were beautiful, we also travelled to a couple of beaches each day we did something different, and came back to a peaceful, comfortable home with a relax in the hot tub with gorgeous views.

The owner did pop by shortly to introduce and see if we wanted anything and we felt very welcomed.

Hot tub was fab and we used everyday even with the rain. We are hoping to come back in the future to stay again.
