Beautiful accommodation 4.3/5

Absolutely amazing place !! The accommodation is brilliant, never stayed anywhere like it before. Also, having the highland cows in the field in front was a real bonus for my daughter, who loves them !! Would highly recommend it. Only a small downside, only one bathroom and when there is 5 people staying need another toilet !!

Cosy and quirky Rabbits view is a definite must. 4.8/5

We arrived in the pitch black so couldn’t see the views but did enjoy a starry night sky from the hot tub. Looking out the following morning as the mist cleared to stunning views and red kites, several of them, swooping in the skies above. Amazing. Went to Elan Valley just a few miles away the waterfalls were in full roaring force. Did a 12 mile walk that day and went back the following day for a 10 mile walk this time climbing the hills. Wonderful views definitely recommend. The accommodation was compact but perfectly adequate for a short stay. We were a party of 4 adults so didn’t use the bunk room but it was handy to store coats and spare clothes in. We would definitely return for a long weekend again.

The perfect family getaway 4.8/5

I was looking to have a break from home and work life for a couple of nights and have some family time. It was very easy to book and communication with the staff was 5* The hobbit house was perfect! It was big enough for the 5 of us, clean and tidy, the beds were really comfortable, all furnishings were really good quality, there were hand and bath towels for everyone and they even included coffee, tea, sugar, milk, washing up liquid and soap! Even though there are other hobbit houses, they are far enough apart so it feels like no one else is there. The hot tub was easy to use and felt very private with a lovely view! We also used the big fire pit and toasted marshmallows. Even though it rained the whole time, it was a perfect break away! We will definitely return!

Birthday weekend away with family 4.8/5

Style over substance! 3.2/5

Rabbits View is a quirky little home in a beautiful setting. Whist initial impressions were good, we felt it was very poor value for money and would not return. The house has been completed to a very high standard with beautiful oak doors & beds. However, there is not a single cupboard / wardrobe or hanger to unpack your stuff / hang your clothes! Fortunately there was only 2 of us (it sleeps 6) and so we used the bunk bed room to store stuff, but if there was 6 people then you’d really struggle. The fridge continuously poured water over the floor. I see someone else has mentioned this in a previous review but it’s clearly not been fixed. The kitchen items/equipment is extremely basic. 6 plates, 6 knives/forks/spoons etc. Not so much of a problem for 2, but if there’s 6 of you, you’d run out of clean items very quickly! The other annoyance was check out was 10am but they expect you to have stripped the beds and have the sheets ready for collection from 9am. Surely if you pay for the property until 10am, you have the right to stay there, undisturbed, until 10am?! At £600 for 2 nights, it was very disappointing and there are much better places around to stay.

A few days of romance 4.3/5

We stayed here as a couple for our 6 year anniversary which was honestly lovely! My partner actually surprised me and proposed! So this will be a very special place to us forever!! Had a massage by Aggie which I highly recommend and also got some preordered food from farmgate2kitchengate (both contacts in your email from holidaywales). My only negative would be the insects and spiders!! I am not a creepy crawly kind of girl and if you dont like them bring some bug spray! The property do give you a fly trap but it wasnt enough. The flys, dragon flies, mosquitos, spiders and slugs were everywhere! Maybe the property can include some bug stuff for people to use - would change my review to 5 stars for sure! Also the kitchen would be another negative as the cupboards smelt like vomit - could of just been a dirty cup or something but I have weak stomach so couldnt go in said cupboard! Also another feedback for the owners would be to supply some cleaning products for the kitchen as couldnt find anything to clean down the kitchen sides/table and hob. Had such a lovely time even with the few bits of feedback to the owners! Will definetly return 🙂

Hen do venue 4.8/5

Rabbits View is well placed and a lovely place to stay . A draining rack would have been an asset and a larger fridge ! Perhaps another toilet would have been beneficial . I know the weather has been exceptional but due to lack of windows perhaps air conditioning should be considered for future builds and a parasol on patio area . Highly recommend Aggi who came and gave us all massages . Overall our stay was amazing and the accomodation was lovely . Thank you

Teenagers and a Dog 5/5

We booked the Rabbits View as my son is a huge Lord of the Rings fan and they didn't disapoint, what has been built is absolutely amazing and the hot tub was top notch, would love to come back for a visit.

Julia Rose | 04 September 2023

Beautiful stay 5/5

We were delighted with our hobbit hut, really lovely and well arranged. The views are stunning, the bath in the bedroom a nice touch on a rainy day - we had a relaxing time enjoying the place and surroundings. Few pubs, restaurants in the local village which was perfect for our evenings. If you want a change a scenery, chill and recharge the batteries, this is the place to be.

Birthday treat 4.7/5

Amazing property & location is stunning, very comfortable & will definitely return. Hot tub extra bonus

Lisa White | 08 August 2023

Great stay with kids 5/5

We stayed a couple of nights with our 7 and 12 year olds. 2 days of rain didn't really matter as the kids had a great time. There's a good amount of space, great views, seems fairly new with everything you need, hot tub, fire pit, parking right outside cabin etc.... A good location, really quiet but just 5 minute drive from a small village which was handy for supplies and close to the Elan Valley.

Nik Webb | 27 July 2023

We enjoyed our stay very much, however I was a little disappointed with the cleanliness of the kitch 4.2/5

Kitchen cupboards sticky/dirty upon arrival which was easily wipeable - a little disappointing to find.

Guest | 22 July 2023

Perfect little hideaway 5/5

Great find for a little getaway. The views from the accommodation were spectacular and only around 15min drive to the Elan Valley Visitor Centre where we could enjoy a fantastic walk around the reservoir. I would recommend this as a good place for a quiet getaway or as a relaxing place to come back to each night after long walks over the hills.

Callum Currie | 04 June 2023

Amazing stay 5/5

Fab family stay at an amazing place …hosts and accommodation are fab and the place itself is fab. Hot tub was amazing…very hot and cosy. All the family loved it x

Claire Woods | 23 May 2023

A fabulous family retreat! 4.8/5

We have just returned from the most fabulous long weekend at Rabbit’s View. We loved the location and the views were simply stunning! The accommodation was equipped to a very high standard, there was nothing that we needed that wasn’t already thought of! The hot tub was a welcome treat after some long walks exploring the area. We have made some fantastic memories as a family and would love to return in the future.

Lizzie Evans | 02 May 2023

Beautiful scenery but over-priced 4/5

If your preference is more for paying for a beautiful view rather than comfort, then rabbits view delivers on this. The views are spectacular, and morning coffee and the hot tub were our favourite things during our stay. However inside, for the price we paid, we expected a little more luxury. The bed in the main bedroom wasn’t particularly comfy and we found it very hard, the extractor fan above the bath would sometimes drip water, and sadly the temperature of the bath was Luke warm. We did raise this as an issue, and this was dealt with promptly, having said that, the water only then became slightly warmer, and we weren’t able to control the temperature to suit our needs. Rabbits view has everything you need, cleanliness was spotless, they provided everything you would need for a few days away, however the sofa was not very comfortable, there was not much cushioning on the arm supports, so after a long day of walking, this isn’t the sofa to comfortably lie on. The fridge leaked, despite us checking constantly that the door was closed securely. General wear & tear scuff marks were present throughout the property. The bathroom and the shower were perfect as described, but again the shower connection came off the first time we used the shower. Albeit these are slight niggles that either can be looked over, or easily dealt with by the owners, but for us, sadly due to the amount of money we paid for this stay we expected better. We personally would not recommend Rabbits View to others, unless of course you need a place for 6 people to cut down costs, however we recommend the holiday home itself as most looked like they had hot tubs, they also had the beautiful scenery, but just not as expensive.

Lovely stay at rabbits view 4.8/5

Beautiful property, so quirky and unique, brilliantly done and beautiful location, my family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, beautiful view from the hot tub. Perfect facilities and very accommodating. So glad I booked this

Absolutely Stunning 4.7/5

The kids and us absolutely loved our stay at the Rabbit View. Everything about it was magical and wonderful. The scenery is just stunning and everything that we hoped it would be and more. We loved chilling by the fire eating s'mores and going to see the Dams at Elan Valley. The kids enjoyed the muddy hills and the cosiness of the hut. We will be back... 🙂
