Maesgwyn is family home for Llewelyn who is James' Dad, Llew is still an active member of the farming team.

The Environment ..
James, Lin & family farm mainly beef and sheep across a 400+ acre farm. Their busiest time of year is always lambing so during the months of March & April guests may be lucky enough to see some lambs being born in the surrounding fields of the properties.
During the Summer time there wll be plenty of tractor spotting as there will be lots of harvest work to be done!
This was our second time at Fern. Will book again for sure.

Peaceful & idyllic

We stayed for 4 nights in May. We had the best time despite the evenings being a little chilly! The pod was spotlessly clean when we arrived, the hot tub was crystal clear and warm and the welcome try with tea, coffee etc, fresh flowers and eggs was very sweet. The decking is fully enclosed with two gates which was perfect for our dog.
The pod overlooks the valley which was stunning. We enjoyed watching the sheep and new lambs, some of whom were mere feet away from the pod. The hot tub was wonderful and we enjoyed using the bbq, fire pit and log burner supplied. The bed was a little hard for our tastes but others may like that. The hot tub was a little murky by day 5 but we were in it a lot! We saw the farmers a couple of times while walking out and about, they were friendly but not at all intrusive which we appreciated.
This is the perfect holiday if you want peace and quiet as it is remote, we walked to the local pub a couple of times but be prepared for an up and down hill trek of 3.8 miles each way! It is a glorious walk if you like walking. The wifi in the pod was very reliable.
Absolutely Loved our Stay
