What an idyllic stay! 4.7/5

Fantastic location, beautiful views and everything you need inside. Mattresses super comfy too! It was a lovely bonus of being able to order a hamper as a treat - this was delivered quite later but the team kept in touch and let us know. The only think I’d suggest for improvement is to provide hand rails to assist climbing to the top bunk. Our youngest who is almost 8, couldn’t manage to get up / down independently. Handles to provide more stability would be that one extra touch to help. We would definitely return here again! An extra treat was the ever active sky, with Red Kites constantly circling - stunning to watch! Thank you Burrows View!!

Stunning 5/5

I stayed at the burrow view with my husband and 2 young children (ages 6 and 3) and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The decor inside was absolutely stunning - down to every last detail, the beds were the comfiest we’ve stayed in, and the hot tub - wow! The most incredible view. Perfect location to explore the Elan Valley or Brecon Beacons. Would highly recommend.

Lovely place for a weekend away! 5/5

Burrow View was the perfect place for a weekend away with my boyfriend! The place was easy to find and tucked away in a beautiful location, with many lovely walks only a short drive away. The area was incredibly peaceful which was great when enjoying ourselves outside in the hot tub. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family!

Great views 5/5

Get away from it all 5/5

Amazing place to escape to in the middle of wales. Such an easy escape, the house is lovely and clean and has everything you need. Kids loved walking on top of the house and going in the hot tub. The view is stunning and you get to wake up to it every day. Can’t wait to go back.

February in a Hobbit hole 5/5

I took my two 14 year old boys away for a half term break and despite the weather we had a great stay at Burrow View. It was really cosy and welcoming and the view from the hot tub was great. The information about the local amenities was super helpful, just to note the Turkish takeaway is cash only. The Elan Valley is amazing for walking and we saw the Red Kites being fed at Gigrin Farm which was stunning.

Jane Anderson | 17 February 2024

Excellent! 5/5

My partner and I went for a birthday treat this weekend! We only stayed for 1 night but we had the most relaxing night here! We also used the hot tub which was amazing. The burrow is out this world, it really is luxury. We would definitely recommend and would 100% return 🙂

Stunning 4.2/5

The views and location are just out of this world. Could do with a sigh to say holidays wales on the road side and signposts to where you are saying. However the burrow itself was lovely so fun and the kids loved it. Could do with more variation and heating as condensation was dripping off the skylight on to the bed. Jacuzzi was brilliant watching the sunset and the view was just stunning. The jacuzzi however was very cloudy and scum level all around the edges which was disappointing. Would like to come back in the summer as we did enjoy the stay.

Burrow view 4.8/5

Fab place to relax and enjoy view!! It snowed while we were there making it even better The only issue was the dome window in the roof was dripping water on bed due to condensation

Amazing stay ! 5/5

Such an amazing trip - would definitely book again to stay in Burrows view. If I was going to real picky I would suggest a few hooks for coats/towels, a full length mirror which there was definitely space for on one of the walls & there was no bread knife for cutting our loaf of bread which was a pain but very minor ! Otherwise we absolutely could not complain ! The breakfast hamper was definitely worth the extra £25 also - thank you for a great stay. Would definitely re book & have already recommended to friends/family who want to stay X

Family staycation - disappointing 3.3/5

Just returned from a family staycation at burrow view, we checked in and noticed a really strong damp smell within the cabin, we opened all doors and hoped this would go, later we noticed the curtains are full of mould and upon stripping the beds when leaving we found 2 of the 3 mattress protectors to be full of mould - not happy. We found for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teenagers with 2 small dogs) we were very cramped and with no hanging space to get 8 towels dry (4 for hot tub and 4 for showers) no hooks to hang anything it’s no wonder the place smells mouldy and has mould in the fabrics and bedding - not very hygienic! . Very disappointed really - having paid a lot for a 7 night stay. We ran out of hot water twice but had 2 power cuts so that could be linked. Also think for longer breaks of 7 nights towels and linen need to be changed part way through - it’s pretty ropey to expect you to use the same towels all week when you can’t even hang them up to dry them! Also observed lots of guests arriving and leaving and not once was a hot tub emptied, cleaned and refilled as advertised when you book. Definitely not worth the £1400 we paid.

Family staycation 4.8/5

Great location with stunning views. Cosy and comfortable. Only negative was the lack of hanging space. There is no where to hang clothes or coats and the bathroom only has a small towel rail for hanging towels.

Views are stunning 4.7/5

We came for a return stay with our children this time. They absolutely loved the little underground house. We couldn’t get them out of the hot tub and our 15MO had a ball crawling and exploring. Views are stunning. We had a lovely stay at ‘borrows view’ Thank you.

Beautiful stay would defin return ?? 4.8/5

Had an amazing time at Burrow View, the scenery and location were beautiful. It was clean. There are local shops just down the road if you need anything. The kids loved the hot tub. The decor inside was really nicely done. Quiet , peaceful. Sheep and cows wandering in the fields outside. I would say take an eye mask though! Lol as the light from the cute tunnel hole in the ceiling in the morning does disturb you. As it’s right over the bed ??? apart from that everything was 10/10

Birthday getaway 5/5

This was the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy some birthday celebrations. The hobbit hut itself was just amazing, well designed, fabulously furnished with everything you needed. They has every appliance we could've needed, making it an easy and stress free stay. The location is stunning, with highland cows and sheep in the field opposite and red kites flying above - great to watch whilst sitting in the hot tub. There's plenty to do around the area, but as we only stayed 2 nights we made the most of the hut itself with a quick visit to Elan Valley which is just a 10 minute drive away. We enjoyed so much we're already planning our next trip back, an amazing trip - highly recommend.

Lovely stay! 4.5/5

What a lovely stay! Burrow view was just what we needed! The views were great, the kids and the dog thoroughly enjoyed it. Everything was so clean and tidy, the skylight (although fun for the kids to peer in) it wasn't great at night/early morning. It could do with a blind. Make sure to take an eye mask! Overall fantastic stay and we will return.

Lucie Edwards | 05 June 2023

Beautiful relaxing stay 4.3/5

Gorgeous accommodation everything you needed, comfortable bed, unreal scenery. Only 2 point to comment on, could do with some hooks to hang things in bathroom and in the rest of the place to help keep things tidy and clear whilst staying there. Also we didnt have hot water i should have reported it quicker but we were only there 2 nights. Overall would highly recommend the Burrows View to stay and will def return

Second stay Burrow View 4.7/5

This was our second visit to Burrow View and unfortunately did not meet up to our expectations after our first wonderful Visit in November 2022. The accommodation itself was clean and warm and well furnished as previously. However there was an issue with the main windows whereby the seals have blown and there was condensation within the double glazing which meant we could not see out. This was less than ideal as we had so enjoyed relaxing and watching the red kites and the view on our previous stay in November 2022. We had a breakfast hamper which was lovely local produce and more than enough for the two of us for both mornings we were there on our previous stay however this time it appeared the food was more supermarket purchase and not local produce judging by the packaging. Customer service did offer to move us to Otter view which made up for the issue of the windows. We have booked again with the hope the windows are fixed.

First visit to burrow view 5/5

This was our first visit to Burrow View and it did not disappoint. The location is beautiful and looks over the valley with red kites circling above whilst we sat in the hot tub it really was idyllic. The accommodation itself was clean and warm and well furnished. The bed was very comfortable and it was well laid out with the table by the windows so you could look at the scenery whilst having breakfast. We had a breakfast hamper which was lovely local produce and more than enough for the two of us for both mornings we were there. We will definitely be returning.

Hilmi Sager | 02 March 2023

Overall great stay 4.8/5

Wonderful place to stay. We would definitely stay again. All our friends are keen to stay there too. My only criticism is that there was no hot water until the last night we were there, and it was snowing during our stay so rather cold.
