Phillups 3.3/5

We had a lovely chilled break at the Hares Rest. The location is really good with amazing views, very close to Rhayader. The accommodation was lovely apart from the bed. We had a surprise to see that the bed was more like a bunk bed. This was the only let down for our break, along with the bedding which was very basic. We therefore were unable to relax completely and returned home very early on our final morning. Such a shame

Wonderful 4.8/5

Cae Llwyn Breaks is fantastic, Hares Rest was great accomodation. The location is beautiful and very peaceful, lots of wildlife to see whilst relaxing in the hot tub. I will be back!

Peaceful and relaxing break 5/5

The place is amazing, perfect for a peaceful getaway. Place itself is fabulous and perfect for some fun with the family. The items left inside on arrival is a generous touch from the owners also. Will definitely be coming back.

Lovely views shame about the accommodation 3.5/5

This is our 3rd time staying at this site and was the only time we’ve left disappointed and deciding not to return. The accommodation was clean but full of flies like not just a few like infested. Much of the accommodation was damaged or broken for example we didn’t use the hot tub as it was extremely hot and we were unable to adjust the temperature we even left the cover off for a while and it made no difference. Many of the blinds were broken and wouldn’t shut plus a lot of the damage on the floor, broken hot tub cover etc. previous stays the accommodation has been lovely clean and to a beautiful standard. Would not recommend going during the summer due to the shear amount of flies.

Lovely little gateway 5/5

We had a great time at loved our stay, the cabin was nice and warm when we got there. Everything was spotless. Was a great little family gateway. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful spot in wales. 4.7/5

My only grumble is that the pillows were really flat and uncomfortable. So we used extra cushions from the sofa to help prop them up a bit more. However the whole cabin and facilities etc were 100% above what I imagined. Wonderful quiet stay even a park for the children 🙂

Stunning! 5/5

I booked Hares Rest for mine and my husbands wedding anniversary. This was a family trip including our 2 children, 11 and 13. Hares Rest is absolutely beautiful. It was cosy and comfortable and had everything we needed. The hot tub was amazing and was enjoyed every evening with a glass of prosseco 🙂 The view, wow! Absolutely breathtaking and so peaceful and quiet. We visited Elan Valley which was just a short drive away and Devils Bridge and Aberystwyth Beach which was slightly further a field but well worth the visit. I wish we could have stayed for longer but we will definately be back in the future.

Amazing stay 5/5

This is the second time staying at this location. This time it was just a girls holiday with my 3 children. My youngest made full use of the park & going to see the animals. Its so peaceful I love waking up to amazing views with peace & quiet listening to the sheep first thing in the morning. Hares Rest was so clean there was everything that you would need for a break away & there are shop not that far away.

Review of Hares Rest 5/5

We had such a beautiful stay, everything was immaculate and it was perfect for what we’d wanted. My only suggestion would be that if it’s advertised as suitable for children, I would have liked some extra safety at the ladder to the top bed. Maybe a safety guard of some sort on the top and bottom of the ladder, as we had to adjust furniture to stop them from climbing it and then potentially falling down. Otherwise I really lovely stay which I would highly recommend. Thank you!

Easter Break at Hares Rest 4.8/5

We all had a fabulous stay at the Hares Rest. We loved the modern decor and its set up well for families. The hot tub was perfect to relax in after our long walks. It looks out over the beautiful Welsh countryside and the cute little lambs were a delight to watch. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The location is perfect and only 10 minutes from the town of Rhayader which had lovely places to eat out and a coop to get supplies. Thank you so much for a truly enjoyable break. We didn’t want to leave and wished we had booked a longer stay.
