Lying amidst the gorgeous mid-Wales countryside is this lovely barn conversion, Tegfan Barn, offering a romantic retreat for two, or an escape with friends to Pant-y-dwr near Rhayader.
Enjoying its own garden with a luxurious hot tub, along with rustic decor that retains original barn features, Tegfan Barn has been beautifully finished.
Step into the open-plan living space and discover a homely setting, with an exposed stone wall to one end which houses the fireplace and wood burning stove, you can wind down on the plush seating before the fire, with a TV to watch too, there's also a sofa bed for any additional guests.
A neat fitted kitchen space has everything you need to make some tasty home-cooked meals, including an electric oven and two-ring hob, microwave and fridge, with further appliances including a freezer and a washing machine found in the ground-floor shower room.
Dine at the stylish dining table and chairs or delight in making the most of the sunny weather in summer and dine alfresco on your own patio next to the hot tub, afterwards taking a dip in the bubbling hot waters as the sun goes down.
Follow the stairs up to the mezzanine first-floor level to find the lovely double bedroom, with a snug feel up in the apex eaves, while the sofa bed in the sitting area provides a sleeping spot for two more guests.

One hand towel & one bath sheet are provided per guest.
If using the hot tub we recommend also bringing your own towels too!

We are happy to provide a travel cot & a high chair for your stay. These are to be booked through us prior to your stay.The travel cots do not have bedding included.
Hot Tub & Outside Area
Tegfan Barn has its own private hot tub, what better way to relax during your stay then making full use of this whilst admiring the beautiful view!The hot tubs are emptied, cleaned & re filled at every change over - please be mindful that they may not be quite up to temperature when you first arrive.
Also inlcudied outside is a fire put and outdoor furniture.
Kitchen
The kitchen comes complete with electric oven, hobs, microwave, fridge with small freezer compartment, toaster & kettle as well as a washing machine.We leave for all guests, a tea towel, sponge & cloth, tea coffee & sugar & fairy liquid.
In the cupboards you will find: mugs, water glasses, wine glasses, bowls, dinner plates & tea plates as well as cutlery. For cooking, baking trays, utensils, mixing bowls, oven dishes.

Meet Leanne and Graham!
Graham, Leanne, and their 3 son's, bought Tegfan Bungalow in 2018. They opened their doors in the Summer of 2018 and haven't looked back.They loved letting out this bungalow so much, they opened the doors of Tegfan Barn in 2020!
Graham and Leanne only live up the road so are always on hand if anyone has any questions, or just wanting a chit chat.
The Environment
Surrounding both of their wonderful properties are plenty of livestock - sheep, cows and even horses! Not forgetting the fabulous view of the Cambrian Mountains.

I cannot say how much we thoroughly enjoyed our week away at Tegfan barn. It is absolutely stunning and there is literally everything that you need. No phone signal, which was actually a blessing! This definitely added to the tranquillity. There is free WiFi there, so for those who are into their socials can definitely keep updated. The owner Leanne and her husband were absolutely amazing. They couldn’t do enough for you. They are located at the top of the drive and are always on hand should you need them. We’re smallholders and I always miss my animals when I’m away. I had a chat with Leanne and she kindly let her sheep into the field outside the barn doors. The hot tub is also very relaxing. I enjoyed a late night soak while watching the stars. We loved this stay so much that we have re-booked for 2 weeks next year. We cannot thank them enough for the perfect stay.

The cottage was absolutely beautiful and incredibly peaceful. The breakfast hamper was awesome as was the view whilst eating it! The location was ideal as it’s a stone throw from the Elan Valley – there’s great hiking and adventure activities. The Hot tub and fire pit were great additions also. Super clean, super comfortable – highly recommended. Thanks guys 🙂 x

Amazing Barn conversion with a well thought out layout it was very practical and useable. Hot tub set up to use straight away also great instruction how to use everything down to the log burner. The complimentary items were very thoughtful and generous. Will definitely use again. Thanks 😊

Couldn’t fault this property, had everything we needed inside, the hot tub was amazing and just what we needed. The Elan Valley is a must see and Leanne couldn’t have been more helpful! Highly recommend to others and will be back!

Had the best time at Tegfan Barn – loved the cosy feel with the log burner and we also spent many hours in the hot tub. Rhayader is a lovely town – well worth a visit, lots of great places to eat!

Tegfan Barn was lovely! It was really clean and so cosy! The settings and surroundings were blissful and provided a really relaxing setting! Would definitely recommend Tegfan Barn to others.
