This delightful, newly refurbished barn conversion is the perfect space for a group of up to six people, a perfect escape to the country!

From the spacious parking area you will be met by the charming Cottage, with rustic red brick work as well as features from the original barn that resided in the same spot, Swallows Rest really does give a warming welcome from the off.

As you enter the property into the open plan living and dining area you will find this to be the perfect space for a get together with a group of friends or family with a spacious yet homely feel. The authentic timber beams that grace the ceilings & walls really do fill the property with rustic charm and with vibrant yet tasteful decor this really gives a contemporary twist on a traditional property. Get stuck into your favourite series in from of the TV on the plush leather sofa and for the cooler evenings, cuddle up next to the electric fire.

Follow through into the light and airy kitchen, you will find everything you need to cook up a storm or equally for a loved one to prepare you breakfast in bed! This well equipped area complete with washing machine & tumble drier for those longer stays as well as a central breakfast bar, the perfect place for a quick bite to eat before a morning of exploring or a great spot to socialise with a glass of bubbly in the evenings. With a sky light and also a glass door to the outside area, let the natural light flood in as you spend time in the heart of the home. Meal times for the whole group can be spent at extendable, circular dining table, ideal for that cheeky takeaway or family favourite supper.

Downstairs you will find two of the three bedrooms that the property accommodates, one being a cosy twin room and the second double bedroom which comes complete with dresser and additional storage. Additional to the bedrooms is a stylish bathroom with walk in shower, hand basin & the perfect bath tub to fill with bubbles for a relaxing soak.

Head upstairs to the master bedroom, a spacious area with a king size bed, dressing table and also TV for those early nights. Timber beams also feature on the first floor giving a cosy feel to the again, modern decor. On the mezzanine is a quirky floral arm chair, the perfect spot to take five and unwind. The shower room can be found on this floor, with a walk in shower & heated towel rail.

If the interior impresses you then wait until you hear about outside the property.. soak up the sunshine in the enclosed garden on the comfy outside seating area and the real added extra..? The private hot tub, watch the sun go down with a glass of bubbly in hand from the warm and relaxing bubbles. Swallows Rest is even pet friendly so your four legged friend doesn't need to miss out on the holiday fun.

Swallows Rest is a short distance from the quaint town of Montgomery, full of delightful little shops, delicatessens and even a historic mediaeval castle to explore.

Pet Friendly

Swallows Rest is pet friendly and accepts up to 2 dogs and also has an enclosed garden for safety!
At no time are any dogs to be left inside the property unattended, please be mindful & careful around any livestock with dogs.

Linen & Towels

All bed linen is provided.
One hand towel, one bath sheet & one face cloth are provided per guest.

Hot Tub & Outside Area

Swallows Rest has its own private hot tub, what better way to relax during your stay then making full use of this whilst admiring the beautiful view!
Please be mindful that they may not be quite up to temperature when you first arrive.

Kitchen

On your arrival, you will find complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, bread & butter as well as locally produced milk, orange juice, wine, eggs & welsh cakes. A tea towel, sponge & cloth, some dishwasher tablets and fairy liquid, just to help get you started on your self-catering holiday. In the kitchen you will find electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher aswell as a slow cooker and sandwich maker.

In the bathroom you will find a shower, hand sink, flushing toilet & heated towel rail as well as toilet roll, hand soap and hair & body wash.

Meet Jayne, Nigel, Courtney & Katie!

The Clockhouse, The Granary & Swallows Rest also known as 'Pentre Getaways' are owned by Jayne, Nigel and their two children, Courtney & Katie. You may see Jayne around checking that everything is ok with your stay - usually with a cup of tea in hand!

Jayne, Nigel & family live down the road from the properties, just outside the village of Llandyssil so they are never far away if you have any enquires during your stay.

You will see lots of four legged friends around the site including dogs, sheep, chickens and ducks, so make sure you are mindful of this if you have a dog staying too and ensure they are kept on leads!
